Government's Plan to Stop Refund Radiation Inspection Charges, Not Going to Affect Vehicle Price

Japanese government had been bearing the cost of radiation inspection of vehicles exporting from Japan, and they had been paying the inspection cost to NKKK, the institute that inspect the radiation levels of vehicles. However,  the government has decided to stop paying inspection charges to NKKK since April.

As a result, exporters have to pay 10,000Yen to NKKK for inspection of each of the vehicles. In addition to the radiation inspection charges, exporters have to make a one time payment  of 80,000yen to NKKK for transportation.

Japanese used cars importers abroad worries, this could further increase the price of Japanese used vehicles. In fact, exporters can  claim the radiation inspection charges  from Tokyo Electricity Company , and it is not reasonable to charge it from final customer.

Therefore, our vehicle prices will not be affected by the government's move to stop paying radiation inspection charges.
