Karunakarala Ayurveda Spa & Resort was declared open by the former president of Sri Lanka Hon. Mahinda Rajapakshe on 9th July 2016. Parliamentarian Mr. Wimal Weerawansa, Mr. Rohitha Abegurawardhana were also among the distinguished guests at the opening ceremony.

 

Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksha who stayed the first night in the resort planted a ‘Bo’ tree on the premises as a souvenir.
