It changes from the COROLLA into
PREMIO and the model at the 2nd generation debuts in June, 2007.
Following the compact car standard of Japan, it aimed at a finished
form of five number sedan. A large headlight that diagonally arrange
lamps make the front view with a sense of existence, and a big cabin
associates the size of spaciousness as for the side view. The design
around the driver's seat emphasizes the indoor area and the operation

The installing
engine is 2ZR-FE type of 1.8L and 1NZ-FE type of 1.5L. It provides with
both VVT-i of the changeable valve timing mechanism with a high
mechanism twin cam. Super-CVT-i of the no steps shifting is combined
with all cars. As for the drive type, FF is basic, and there is the
setting of the 4WD car to 1.8 liters car. The GOA body by the latest
standard is adopted. It equips normally with ABS with the
electronically controlled brake distribution and the supplemental
restraint system airbag . Side & curtain air bag is an option. The
low-end model of 1.5L and 1.8L was set besides the installing car of
3ZR-FAE type of 2.0L that adopted the Valvematic mechanism was added in
January, 2008.
