At the request of the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan, Jayantha
Palipane, the Association of Fire Fighters in Japan has donated an
ambulance and a fire truck to Sri Lanka. These vehicles will be used to
meet the needs of displaced persons in the North.
The vehicles were received by the First Secretary of Sri Lanka Embassy, Chandana Weerasena on behalf of Sri Lanka from a senior official of the Association of Fire Fighters in Japan, Mr. Kaimiyako in Yokohama.
Sayuri International Co.ltd came forward to pay the cost of ocean freight involved in importing these vehicles to Sri Lanka and also a representative from Sayuri International Co Ltd attended this function.
